The Detroit Free Press Marathon Returns for its 48th Year

DETROIT, Oct. 17, 2025 ~ The Detroit Free Press Marathon will return for its 48th edition from Oct. 17-19. WJR’s own Bethann Long will be participating in the race, presented by MSU Federal Credit Union, through the streets of Detroit and Windsor. Rain is expected throughout the weekend, according to National Weather Service Detroit, and runners along with spectators are encouraged to dress accordingly.
