ROYAL OAK, MI, July 21, 2025 ~ Hundreds of philanthropers teed off Monday to help raise money for Sparky Anderson’s CATCH Charity for Children.
The CATCH Golf Classic took place at Red Run Golf Club, featuring live broadcasts by WJR. The golf outing featured a scramble format with the option of a celebrity golfer in each group, with WJR hosts Kevin Dietz, Anthony Bellino, Jamie Edmonds, and Steve Courtney all playing in the scramble! Other notable names that participated included U.S Indy car driver Nolan Allaer, former Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson, and former Michigan football player Stan Edwards.
CATCH, founded by former Detroit Tigers Manager Sparky Anderson in 1987, works to improve the quality of life for pediatric patients and their families at Children’s Hospital of Michigan and Henry Ford Hospital. The organization runs fundraisers to help raise funds for children in need who may otherwise fall through the cracks.
