BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI, July 25, 2025 ~ This weekend, the Cranbrook Tennis Classic (CTC) returns for its third year, now elevated to an ATP Challenger 100 event, bringing higher stakes, bigger names, and even more reason to visit one of Michigan’s most beautiful cultural destinations.
Held at the picturesque Cranbrook Tennis Complex in Bloomfield Hills, the tournament offers more than just world-class tennis. Nestled within the historic Cranbrook Educational Community, visitors can explore the lush Cranbrook House and Gardens, the renowned Cranbrook Art Museum, and the architecturally stunning Cranbrook School campus designed by Eliel Saarinen.
The week-long tournament kicks off Sunday, July 20, and culminates in the final match on Sunday, July 27 at 1 p.m. Local food trucks will be on-site throughout the week, making it easy to enjoy a full day of matches and exploration without leaving the grounds.

(CONTINUED) On the court, the competition is heating up. With its new ATP 100 status, the CTC now attracts higher-ranked players and offers more ranking points and prize money. Returning player and 2024 finalist Nishesh Basavareddy (ATP No. 111) will be joined by Danish standout August Holmgren (No. 146), fresh off a strong Wimbledon showing, and American Chris Eubanks (No. 130), a former world No. 29 and popular Tennis Channel commentator.
Beyond the action, the CTC is a tournament with heart. Organized by the nonprofit 501c3, Tennis Forward, all proceeds benefit the Palmer Park Tennis Academy in Detroit and Cranbrook Athletics. Thanks to past tournaments, several courts at Palmer Park have already been restored, helping grow the game at the grassroots level.
Whether you’re drawn by the thrill of professional tennis or the charm of Cranbrook’s historic campus, the Cranbrook Tennis Classic is shaping up to be one of the summer’s most rewarding events.
