MICHIGAN, July 15, 2025 ~ A Michigan electric vehicle battery plant was spared from federal cuts in President Donald Trump‘s “Big, Beautiful Bill,” despite the administration’s aversion to EVs.
Ford Motor Co.‘s BlueOval Battery Park, a short drive east of Battle Creek, is a massive project under construction, but fears grew of budget and job cuts due to the president’s $3.4 trillion bill. However, the Michigan-based automaker determined that the project will qualify for production tax credits, allowing the project to move forward as planned.
