ANN ARBOR, July 14, 2025 ~ The University of Michigan is on the hunt for a new president, recently hiring a search firm to replace its last president, Santa Ono.
International search firm Spencer Stuart was selected to look for a new university president amid a tumultuous time for the school due to criticisms about its handling of pro-Palestine demonstrations on campus and President Donald Trump‘s threat of withholding federal funding. Former U-M Dearborn Chancellor Domenico Grasso is the current interim president.

The university is well-positioned to go into the future, continue to grow, and continue to be a top public university in the world.“
