DETROIT, July 2, 2025 ~ Greenfield Village in Dearborn is gearing up for its annual Salute to America celebration, a four-night event running from July 2 through July 5, 2025. The event, held in partnership with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, is one of Metro Detroit’s most anticipated Fourth of July traditions. Each evening begins at 5 p.m. and culminates in a grand fireworks display at dusk, offering a full evening of entertainment for families and visitors of all ages.
Spanning 80 acres, the village transforms into a patriotic festival with live music, historical reenactments, and themed performances across seven districts. Guests can enjoy everything from ragtime and jazz to Motown and choral music, all performed by local artists and ensembles. The DSO takes the main stage at 8:30 p.m., performing a stirring rendition of Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture,” complete with live cannon fire, just before the fireworks light up the night sky.
