DETROIT, June 25, 2025 ~ The NFL’s Pro Football Hall of Fame has awarded former longtime Detroit Lions‘ Public Relations Vice President Bill Keenist with an ‘Award of Excellence.’
Keenist served in many different communications positions for Detroit over his 36-year career. He spent nearly two decades as the Senior Vice President of Communications for the Lions, officially retiring in 2021.

(CONTINUED) The HOF’s ‘Award of Excellence’ program looks to highlight contributors in football including public relations employees, equipment managers, and more that do most of their work behind the scenes. The awards were created in 2022.
The Oxford resident will receive this honor at a luncheon in Canton, Ohio, which will take place on June 25-26.
