DETROIT, June 18, 2025 ~ The mother of the Oxford High School mass shooter, Jennifer Crumbley, has turned to the Michigan Court of Appeals for an attempt to be released on bond. Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Cheryl Matthews denied Crumbley’s request for bond several times, dating back to 2022.
“This is going to be a Groundhog Day,” Todd Flood, managing partner of Flood Law, told “‘JR Morning.” “This is the first time anyone has ever been held accountable in the sense of a mass shooting parent. I think It’ll continue all the way up to the Supreme Court.”

(CONTINUED) Both parents of the shooter Ethan Crumbley were the first in American history to be convicted in connection to a mass shooting. The tragedy left four students dead and seven injured.
Michael Dezsi, Crumbley’s attorney, stated that she is not a threat to the general public. Crumbley and her husband James were both denied new trials four days ago.
