DETROIT, June 17, 2025 ~ On Saturday, June 15, 57-year-old Vance Boelter shot and killed Minnesota Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband, while injuring Senator John Hoffman and his wife. Boelter imitated a police officer early in the morning to carry out the assassination.
“You shouldn’t open your door until you know who’s on the other side of it,” Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard told “Focus with Paul W. Smith.” “That means calling whoever they’re purporting to represent and asking you if they have people at your home.”

Reinforcement equipment can also be bought in-stores or online in order to make your space unbreachable until police help arrives.
