MICHIGAN, May 22, 2025 ~ Michigan has already seen a rash a tornadoes, not even five months into 2025, seeing a concerning rise of tornadoes in the Great Lakes state.
Michigan has seen 27 tornadoes touch down as of May 21, higher than the yearly average of 13 tornadoes in the state since the year 2000. “If you get a stormy weather pattern, you’re increasing everything. You’re talking about hail, you’re talking about straight line wind, you’re talking about tornadoes,” WDIV Local 4 meteorologist Paul Gross told WJR.
