The U-S Probation Department in Detroit is today hosting a wide-ranging community resources fair.
Officials say the fair will help returning citizens, veterans and anyone seeking resources related to employment and housing assistance and a wide variety of other issues such as legal and financial aid.
Just some of the services will include free health screenings by the Detroit Medical Center and on-site dental exams and cleanings.
DTE Energy will be there for utility bill counseling.
Job readiness and job recruitment will be provided by the Detroit at Work organization.
The Wayne County Friend of the Court will offer child support assistance.
The event is free to the public and will include entertainment and food with free back-packs for kids.
It’s all taking place at the King Catholic Church at 20-thousand-800 Grand River in Detroit.
