It was a joy ride that turned out to be not so funny for two Michigan State Police polygraph experts.
50 year old Lt. Andrew Longuski and 45 year old Detective Sgt. Derick Jordan were attending a training conference in Mid May on Macinac Island.
Prosecutors say the two the stole a bicycle.
Longuski’s attorney said Jordan pulled up at a bar where his client was and told him to hop on so that they could go to another bar, but didn’t know that the bike had been stolen.
Both men have pled not guilty to the misdemeanor charges against them.
Longuski has a pre-trial hearing scheduled for today.
Jordan is due back in court on July 24th.
