He made a killing by selling body parts that were diseased. Now federal prosecutors are asking a judge to send Arthur Rathburn to prison for 14 years.
Rathburn was a Grosse Pte. Park businessman convicted in a body parts scheme in which he sold diseased body parts to unsuspecting clients to colleges and researchers. The U-S Attorney’s office says in a court filing that Rathburn made 13 pt 3 million dollars over 16 years with bad body parts that had H-I-V or hepatitis.
The trial was in January. Some of the evidence photo’s were so gruesome that one juror had to get counseling.
