2 Detroit Police officers were shot and wounded, a Detroit schools officer was wounded, and 2 women were shot and killed in the long-standing barricaded gunman situation in NE Detroit.
Chief Craig says police still have the house surrounded where they believe the gunman has been holed up since before 11 pm last night.
Another man next door was taken into custody. Craig says that man did not fire shots at police, as first thought.
Craig says the gunman kept police pinned down with gunfire for an hour, but they have had no contact with the man since about 2 am. Police identify the gunman as 49 year old Lance Smith.
