Starting today, Delphi no longer exists. The auto supplier, formerly based in Troy, splits up into two companies. Aptiv will concentrate on electronics and autonomous driving technology. Delphi Technologies will specialize in powertrains and after-market parts. Both companies are headquartered in the U-K. Most of their employees are in other countries.
Aptiv is the largest company, with 145-thousand employees around the world, 1-thousand of them in Michigan.
Delphi Technologies has 20-thousand employees in 24 countries.
