A Detroit store employee was shot and killed by a masked robber while taking out trash behind the building.
The incident happened on Woodward in the Palmer Park area at the Water Station store.
Police said the man was taking out the trash when he ran into two men with guns in the alley. They forced him back into the store and took the cash register. Police says the other business owners started to wrestle with the gunmen because they feared for their lives.
Shots were fired. 29 year old Devin Lewis was shot and killed. The gunmen escaped.
Police say Lewis was one of 3 brothers who owned and operate the store.
