White Boy Rick is hoping the third time will be the charm.
White Boy Rick is 47 year old Rick Wershe.
He was sentenced to life in prison for possession of cocaine back in 1988.
He was 17 at the time.
Prosecutors had labeled him as a Detroit drug kingpin.
Today, he is getting a parole hearing.
He was denied parole in two previous hearings, the last in 2003.
Today’s hearing is being held at the state prison in Jackson.
