A Port Huron man accused of being a serial rapist is due in court today for a preliminary exam on the charges against him.
46 year old Anthony Thornton is charged with numerous charges of kidnapping, rape and unlawful imprisonment.
Prosecutors say he raped one woman in April of 2010.
They had met at a homeless shelter in Detroit.
He was also charged with raping another woman in March of 2011 at a home in Detroit.
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy says Thornton was identified through the help of the Fair Michigan Justice Project.
This is a program that helps Michigan law enforcement officer and prosecutors in solving serious crimes against lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders.
