Driver Tries To Run Over Police

Detroit Police say they fired gunshots at a motorist who tried to run them over with his car. He nearly hit the officers after they pulled over the vehicle at 7 Mile and Steele on the west side. Police say the driver complied with their request to pull over, but then reached into his pants, jumped back into the vehicle, floored it into reverse, and nearly hit the police. They fired gunshots. The driver crashed into a stop sign, and was arrested. No one was injured.
