A candidate for a high-profile local office may have to change his political plans.
49 year old Dean Reynolds is named in a federal criminal complaint with demanding and taking between $50,000 and $70,000 in bribes from a Clinton Township contractor, in exchange for his vote on township contracts. The contractor is not named in the criminal complaint.
In addition, the U.S. Attorney’s office says the FBI has Reynolds on video accepting $17,000 in payments from an FBI undercover agent.
The complaint says Reynolds passed along to the contractor information about votes by other members of the township board.
Reynolds, a Democrat, is running for Clinton Township supervisor.
