A woman, her son, and another man were arrested on Detroit’s east side. Police traced a phony GoFundMe for Sgt. Ken Steil page to the house. Steil died after being shot. Police discovered an illegal marijuana operation at the home on Courville Street, along with some guns.
The woman also tried to run over police officers. They’re all in jail.
Visitation is 2 to 9pm for Detroit Police Sgt. Ken Steil. He was shot in the shoulder in the line of duty last week, but he died of complications at a hospital Saturday. Visitation is at the Wujek-Calcaterra Funeral Home in Sterling Heights. The funeral is tomorrow.
