Detroit’s first Q-Line streetcar will arrive this week.
The streetcar will be nearly two months earlier than expected.
Over the next few weeks that M-1 Rail will do mechanical checks and place the streetcar on Woodward.
The car is being delivered by the Brookville Equipment Company, the sole manufacturer of streetcars in the U-S.
The Q-Line streetcars are 66 feet long and are designed to carry 125 passengers. Their top speed will be 35 miles an hour.
