A man is in custody for kidnapping, raping and torturing of a woman on Detroit’s west side.
Police say a 49-year-old man abducted the 54-year-old woman while she was getting out of her car last Thursday. Police say the suspect held the woman in a vacant house near Schoolcraft and Schaefer. She may have been held as a sex slave.
The woman was able to escape by breaking out a window and running away.
Most of her clothes had been ripped off .
The woman had been stabbed. Police say she is in critical condition.
Police found the suspect near the victim’s vehicle Sunday and arrested him.
