Another dog house of horrors— more than 70 dogs have been found inside a St. Clair County home.
The discovery was made at a house in Cotrellville Township when Sheriff’s Deputies got calls of a bad smell coming from the house — in addition to loud barking. They found the dogs covered in feces and urine from the poor living conditions. The dogs all had free reign of the home and were uncaged. Neighbors say the family moved from Colorado in October — and planned on breeding the animals. The dogs have been split between the Humane Society and local animal control. Officials may try to find new homes for the dogs. Police are considering charges.
