Detroit residents, including undocumented immigrants, could soon be able to get municipal ID cards. City Council signed off on creating the ID card program aimed at those who are reluctant or are ineligible to apply for a state ID but want access to services. Councilwoman Raquel Castaneda-Lopez joined the Frank Beckmann show to explain why City Council passed the proposal.
One major concern opponents of municipal IDs have is whether they will give undocumented immigrants the right to vote. Bill, from Whitmore Lake is a Certified Elections Judge and he called in to answer some lingering questions.
