Two stranger danger incidents in Dearborn Heights has police stepping up their presence in district schools. Officials say a man approached three students this week, telling them they needed to go with him because their parents were in the hospital.
The first incident happened Tuesday afternoon when a man in a silver Chevy Malibu approached two kids who were walking on Croissant Street near Bedford Elementary. The children did not go with the man.
The second incident happened Thursday morning at Hanover and Harding streets. Again, a man in a silver Chevy Malibu approached him with the same story about his parents. The student also did not go with him.
Officials say the man described as white, with light brown hair, goatee and glasses andy may be driving a silver or gray Chevrolet Malibu
