Wayne County Executive Warren Evans says he would listen to any offer to use the site of a new jail project to build a new stadium for a Detroit soccer team. Business titans Dan Gilbert and Tom Gores are trying to bring a soccer team to Detroit, and they have their eye on the jail site. Construction ground to a halt over costs.
On the Paul W. Smith show on Thursday, Evans said he thinks talks can be started next week ,but there’s no time to waste because plans to finish the jail are in place.
