The first person shot by that rampaging Uber driver in February has spoken to the media for the first time. Tiana Cartuthers says she does not hate Jason Dalton. The 25-year-old Carruthers was shot multiple times, still needs more procedures and reconstructive surgery on her arm and still has a bullet lodged in her liver. She told a crowd at Borgess Medical Center, “For some reason, I do not hate him. I do not hate him at all and I ask myself every day why don’t I hate this man.”
According to authorities, Carruthers acted heroically. She was watching her daughter and other children at a playground when Jason Dalton approached in his vehicle. She stayed between the children and the gunman when he fired from the car.
