Wayne County Executive Warren Evans is announcing a $30 million capital plan to fund 16 road improvement and reconstruction projects this year.
Officials in his administration say the upgrades are slated to get underway this month. They will be wrapped up by November. The capital improvements, funded with a combination of state and federal transportation dollars, will be directed to 21 communities in Wayne County.
The 2016 Wayne County Road Improvement Program consists of extensive road resurfacing, maintenance and capital road reconstruction projects. The capital improvement projects are as follows:
