Detroit police say a 6-year-old boy was killed and a 2-year-old girl was critically injured after they were ejected from a car in a crash.
According to police, a car was traveling at a high rate of speed on Whitmore, ran a stop sign, hit a another car north of McNichols on the city’s west side.
The two children were ejected from the Impala and an adult was trapped inside the as it was pushed up against a van.
Both children were taken to Children’s Hospital where the boy died from his injuries.
There were three other people hurt in the accident: the 20-year-old man who was driving the car that caused the wreck in is stable condition, the mother of the two kids, a 23-year-old woman, is also in stable condition. The 25-year-old passenger is in serious condition.
