A Plymouth Township teen is scheduled to be sentenced today for plotting with her boyfriend to kill her family. Her parents have protested the sentencing.
Rosana Sikorski was 15 when she stabbed her 12-year-old brother at the urging of her boyfriend, 24-year-old Michael Rivera.
The two wanted to run off together, over the objections of her parents. Ribera was convicted of attempted murder. Sikorski pleaded guilty to attempted murder and faces up to 20 years in prison. Her parents think she should be charged as a juvenile. She would face a much more lenient sentence in juvenile court.
