Three Detroit area doctors and seven others have been arrested and charged with conspiracy to illegally distribute prescription drugs. The announcement was made by the office of U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuaid Wednesday. Authorities alleged that from January 2013 to May 2015, 50-year-old Boris Zigmond, a chiropractor from West Bloomfield, was the leader of a large scale drug trafficking organization whose focus was to secure prescriptions for controlled substances like oxycodone. Officials say the organization distributed approximately one million pills and grossed nearly $6 million from trafficking the pills on the street.
