Water rates in the suburbs will rise an average of more than six percent. the largest proposed rate increase is for Royal Oak Township, at 20 percent.
The Great Lakes Water Authority will hold a public hearing on water rates today at the Detroit Water Board offices on Randolph in Detroit.
