The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a driver that struck a jogger in Washington Township Thursday evening, then fled the scene.
The incident happened around 7pm just south of 31 Mile Road on Mound Road. A 15-year-old Washington Township teen was jogging on the shoulder of the road when he was struck from behind. A witness says she saw an older pick up truck, possibly a Ford, hit the jogger. The girl was treated for a broken leg.
