Meanwhile, DPS says it plans to reprioritize its budged in an effort to address safety violations cited in City of Detroit inspections. DPS officials say they will re-direct 300,000 to address immediate-critical repair needs. The district says the money will be diverted from existing spending plans of other district departments.
