Former Inkster Police office William Melendez learns his fate Tuesday. Melendez was convicted of two felonies in the beating of motorist Floyd Dent. He was convicted of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and misconduct in office. The assault charge carries with it a prison term of up to ten years.
